Bloom Books Publishing
Summary
Bloom Books is a publishing company located in Naperville, IL.
Mission and History
Founded in 2021 with author E L James, Bloom Books launched as an author-partnership imprint that focuses on how publishing can work for both authors and readers. It's original mission statement was, "Bloom Books is home to authors looking to forge new paths in publishing." This has since then evolved into a better statement that aligns perfectly with the company, "Bloom Books is focused on authors with established community platforms who want to have more creative ownership over the publication of their books." This publisher has since then grown and recently allowed Penguin Random House to acquire a 75% stake in Sourcebooks, which is the owner of Bloom Books.
Ownership and Structure
Dominique Raccah is the Visionary Publisher and CEO of Sourcebooks Inc, the company that she founded in her home in 1987. Since then, Sourcebooks has become the sixth largest publisher in North America. Bloom Books is not publicly traded or privately owned and is a for profit company. They currently employ around 427 workers and continues to grow. Their organizational structure consists of being agile and author-centric as an innovative division within the Sourcebooks company.
Financial Information
Although Bloom Books does not put out a lot of financial information about their company, they had an article titled, "Bloom Books Scales to $100 Million; Print Sales Rise in November." [1]
