"Dwarsligger is a specialized book format where the text is printed horizontally across two pages with a flexible spine. This is designed to be easily portable and used with one hand. The purpose was to read this book on places like the subway, where someone typically only has one had that can be used."
History
"The dwarsligger was conceived by Hugo Van Woerden, the director of the Dutch Printer Jongbloed BV, a publishing house that specializes in printing on very thing paper, which is commonly used when printing the Bible."
Features
The dwarsligger books are small enough to fit in a pocket or purse, use ultra thing paper, and has horizontal text when held in landscape style.
